Water Meter Change Outs

Monday January 26th, 2026 9:15 AM

Dear Valued Customer,

Peoples Water Service (PWS) has contracted Aqua Meter Consultants to conduct approximately 800 water meter change outs for home or business. These water meter change outs are part of our continued efforts for distribution improvements and ongoing maintenance.

During this time, a customer may experience a temporary loss of water while the Aqua Meter representatives perform the required water meter exchange.  We anticipate any interruption of your water service will be temporary and should not require any action on your part.

Aqua Meter representative(s) you may encounter will be Allen, Zack. Steven, or Kimberly.  These representatives will attempt to contact you to inform you that they will be changing out your water meter.

If you have any concerns or questions, please contact Mr. Jake Boyd at (850) 455-8552 x. 113.

Florida Low-Income Household Water Assistance Program

The Low-Income Household Water Assistance Program (LIHWAP) is a federally funded program that helps income-qualified families with water and wastewater costs. LIHWAP will provide much-needed relief to low-income families that spend a high proportion of their household income on water utility services. The primary goal of LIHWAP is to retain continuity of water services to low-income households in Florida with an emphasis on prevention of disconnection and restoration of water services to households whose water services were previously disconnected.  This will be available for past, present, and prepayment.
